well ain’t that perdy. seems that the problems that haunted nt4 with adding a second processor and getting the os to see it are gone. in 2000 you just do a hardware scan, and it should pick up the new cpu, then use it, in all it�s smp glory, on next boot.

allaire, makers of coldfusion and homesite is merging with macromedia. this should make for some very interesting software, considering they now have most of the popular html, database, and mutlimedia designing tools under one roof. call ‘em the microsoft of web creation.
wyse just released a new super-thin terminal, the 1200LE, that uses the citrix ‘ica’ protocol (or standard) and a 500kb os to boot, get an ip address, and find a citrix server to run apps. sweet deal for desktop replacements at only $400 a pop.
if you into the newest microsoft os, then you will find some good reading on the upcoming .net (whistler) platform and office 10 over at the win supersite. you can read about the builds 2410 and 2416, along with beta 1 build 2296.
boot.ini options: found this segment in a weekly email i get from david chernicoff over at windows 2000 mag. It’s a list of boot.ini options for perminatly booting to safe mode and others.
