OMG!! Windows XP rocks!
I’ve been running the Gold version for two weeks, and I have to say, it spanks Windows 2000′s butt. It’s faster, looks cooler, boots like it’s running the Indy 500 (I’m not kidding here… I would estimate something like 5x faster), plays Half-Life flawlessly (Unlike Win2k sometimes), gives you ton more control over your desktop, and has cool sounds (oh that’s important).
I don’t think may of us home users will need Pro, so spend the $99 for the Home upgrade at buy.com and get it shipped to you on Oct. 25th. (BTW, you can’t upgrade from Win2k to XP Home… you’ll have to do a fresh install or buy XP Pro)
